Pulitzer Center grantee Peter DiCampo was awarded the 2012 Photocrati Fund first prize for his on-going project, Life Without Lights. Peter's project first focused on the detrimental effects of energy poverty in Ghana; he will now explore the health effects of this issue in Uganda. The Pulitzer Center is currently supporting Peter's work in Ivory Coast on cocoa production and how the country's most important crop contributes to high unemployment, disaffected youth and government corruption.

We are also delighted that Pulitzer Center grantee Sean Gallagher received an honorable mention from Photocrati for his project A Fragile State: Climate Change on the Tibetan Plateau. The project explores the numerous challenges facing the region and its people as a result of climate change.
