Anna Badkhen Interviewed on Afghanistan by WSIU Public Broadcasting

Despite all the tragedies she has seen in Afghanistan, journalist Anna Badkhen said in an interview with WSIU Public Broadcasting that she still had hope in humanity.

Badkhen spent the past year and a half traveling in northern Afghanistan for her latest project "Afghanistan by Donkey." This immersion gave her a rare glimpse into the lives and struggles of ordinary Afghans. Her project paints a vivid picture of Afghan culture while providing a first-hand account of the Taliban rule that has gradually returned to the country.

Badkhen visited Southern Illinois University Carbondale--one of the Pulitzer Center's Campus Consortium members--as part of our recent Global Gateway program in the St. Louis area.
