The Pulitzer Center is among 25 nonprofit journalism organizations that Wednesday concluded a three-day conference with the endorsement of The Pocantico Declaration: Creating a Nonprofit Investigative News Network. The declaration marks a vital step in harnessing the energy of new journalism initiatives across the country to give Americans the watchdog reporting that is essential if our democracy is to thrive.
The meeting took place at the Pocantico Conference Center, New York, with support from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, Surdna Foundation, and the William Penn Foundation.
