Powerful photographs have the ability to inform, affect and sometimes even incite change. That's why here at the Pulitzer Center we value the incredible photojournalists who we work with across the globe. The events below in Washington, DC, feature the work of photojournalists Tomas van Houtryve, Louie Palu and Greg Constantine. Friday, November 1: Sixth Annual FotoWeek DC Festival Opening Party
FotoWeek DC 2013 hosts an exciting evening of photography, projections, and music at National Geographic to celebrate FotoWeek's 2013 launch. The outdoor exhibition will premiere and feature award-winning and curated work from FotoDC’s 2013 programs.

Saturday, November 2: FotoNOMA Opening Reception
This year FotoWeek DC is proud to present FotoNOMA: The District Experience, featuring the work of local photo organizations, collectives, schools and individuals, including Pulitzer Center-supported photojournalists. The night will include mixed-media installations (projections, videos that incorporate music, photography, and videography), a live band/DJ, and refreshments. There also will be an after-party featuring projections of the work at the Black Cat at 1811 14th Street NW, which is a separate ticketed event.

November 2-10: Borderlands FotoNOMA Exhibit
This exhibit features the compelling work of photojournalists whose work explores global borders and the populations they affect, featuring photographs by Tomas van Houtryve and Louie Palu.

Sunday, November 3: The Story Behind the Story: Borderlands
Join Tomas van Houtryve and Louie Palu as they share reflections on their reporting, the challenges of telling complex stories through images, and sustaining public interest in the systemic issues on which they report.

Monday, November 4: Opening Program for Our Walls Bear Witness: The Plight of Burma's Rohingya
The Holocaust Museum, in partnership with FotoWeek DC, will put on a night of programming around the work of grantee Greg Constantine, specifically surrounding his documentation of Burma's Rohingya–a Muslim minority in Burma long considered among the world’s most persecuted peoples. A panel will feature Greg Constantine, Dr. Holly Atkinson, director of the Human Rights Program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and Maung Tun Khin, president of the Burmese Rohingya Organization. After the panel, they will kick off the first night of a week-long projection series of Constantine's work on the outdoor wall of the Holocaust Museum.

November 4–November 8: Our Walls Bear Witness: The Plight of Burma's Rohingya Outdoor Exhibition
Building-sized images of the Rohingya displaced in Burma and in exile taken by prize-winning photographer Greg Constantine will be projected each evening from November 4 to 8 on the Holocaust Museum’s exterior walls on 15th Street SW. This exhibition is free and open to the public.
