Pulitzer Center Update

Sean Gallagher's Photography Exhibit on Display in Beijing

In April of 2009, British photojournalist and Sean Gallagher was awarded a travel grant from the prestigious Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting to photograph 'China's Growing Sands', a multi-layered investigation into China's current battle against desertification. Travelling 4000km overland on China's 'desertification train' through Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Gansu and Xinjiang provinces, this will be the first time a selection of Gallagher's images from this journey have been exhibited in mainland China. At 6 pm, Gallagher will give a brief introduction to the exhibition, including a description of the Pulitzer-sponsored project.
