Pulitzer Center Update

Video: Looking Back at 2019

2019 was one of the Pulitzer Center’s biggest years, yet—more than 170 professional journalism projects reported from the battlefields of Eastern Ukraine to the peatlands of Indonesia to the dairy farms of Wisconsin. New initiatives like the Rainforest Journalism Fund, Bringing Stories Home, and Connected Coastlines broadened our reach in topics covered and communities served. Our education partnership with The New York Times Magazine on the 1619 Project brought an important discussion about the legacy of slavery to K-12 and college students across the United States. Our short 2019 year-end video offers a glimpse into the wide range of stories we supported, the talented journalists who told those stories, and our innovative education program.

All of this important work could not be done without your support. Give to the Pulitzer Center before December 31, and your gift will automatically be doubled by NewsMatch.
