Campus Consortium Launches at Wake Forest, High Point and Guilford

The Pulitzer Center welcomes Wake Forest University, High Point University and Guilford College in North Carolina's Piedmont Triad region to its Campus Consortium network. The partnership launches formally in early April with a week of events on each campus focused on child marriages.

Among the activities, journalist Cynthia Gorney will discuss her reporting and showcase the award-winning photographs by Stephanie Sinclair as a part of the Voices of Our Times Series at Wake Forest University on April 3. Evening events also are set for April 4 at High Point University and April 5 at Guilford College. Jon Sawyer, Pulitzer Center executive director and a Winston-Salem native, will participate in the multi-campus-wide programs and explore the Pulitzer Center model with students, faculty and the broader community.

The Campus Consortium connects a growing network of universities to over 180 Pulitzer Center journalists working worldwide to cover global systemic issues. Recognizing the importance of interdisciplinary education, the program also encourages campus departments to work together on programming to explore topics that cross traditional academic disciplines.
