Aside from a surge of interest related to Saudi Arabia’s role in Yemen in the wake of revelations about the Saudi government-orchestrated murder of American resident Jamal Khashoggi, Yemen has not been a crisis Westerners cared about, despite its magnitude. Stern explains how he accounted for the lack of interest and how he sought to address it.
