Meet the Journalist: Jessica Prokop

In 2017, the life of a family in Vancouver, Washington, was upended: Ramon Flores, an undocumented immigrant who lived in the United States for about 20 years, was detained and deported after Motel 6 gave his information to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. He is now living in Tijuana, Mexico, leaving behind his wife, seven children, and community ties.
