Meet the Journalist: Carl Gierstorfer

Biologist and filmmaker Carl Gierstorfer always had an interest in diseases and how they affect communities and change history. When Ebola broke out in Liberia in 2014, he wanted to document the outbreak from a Liberian perspective. He began researching and producing the film "We Want You to Live," which has now been screened in several countries. Al Jazeera America will show the film in the U.S.—re-titled "In Ebola's Wake."
