Join Pulitzer Center grantee Lisa Palmer at the Wilson Center in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, for the launch of her book, Hot, Hungry Planet.
Supported by the Pulitzer Center, Palmer reported from India about reconciling the threat of global environment change with the need of feeding a global population. In her book, she focuses on three key concepts that support food security and resilience in a changing world: social, educational, and agricultural advances; land use and technical actions by farmers; and policy nudges that have the greatest potential for reducing adverse environmental impacts of agriculture while providing more food.
She shares her findings from her research and reporting during the book launch event. She will be joined by experts on global food security for a panel discussion and will take questions from the audience. Copies of the book will be available for sale.
