Join the Pulitzer Center on September 17, 2017 from 12-1pm at St. Ann's Warehouse in Brooklyn, NY as a part of New York's Photoville 2017. Photojournalist, Amy Toensing and deputy director of photography at National Geographic Whitney Johnson will discuss the project, A World Of Widows. 

In many regions of the world widowhood marks a “social death” for a woman – casting her and her children out to the margins of society. In this panel, Toensing and Johnson will talk about the status of widows in Uganda, Bosnia, and India.

Toensing's work on widows is featured in an outdoor exhibit at Photoville this year.
