Photojournalist and Pulitzer Center grantee Sean Gallagher explores climate change, urban pollution, and the battle for environmental justice during this two-day visit on Monday, September 18 and Tuesday, September 19, 2017, to Harry S Truman College, Harold Washington College, and Wilbur Wright College, three campuses within the City Colleges of Chicago system.

While speaking with students, Gallagher also will discuss his career as a photojournalist and the challenges he has faced while covering global environmental issues. Kayla Sharpe, Pulitzer Center campus consortium coordinator, joins Gallagher for the visit that includes class sessions throughout the two days and a community-wide event on September 18.

City Colleges, a Pulitzer Center Campus Consortium partner, one of the nation's largest community college districts and the largest in Illinois. It serves students on seven campuses: Richard J. Daley College, Kennedy-King College, Malcolm X College, Olive-Harvey College, Harry S Truman College, Harold Washington College and Wilbur Wright College, as well as six satellite sites.

Gallagher's visit kicks off a three-city U.S. tour during which he highlights his work capturing environmental issues such as pollution in India and desertification in China.
