On October 11, 2018, Pulitzer Center grantee journalist Reza Sayah discusses the current state of reporting in the Middle East, as well as tensions between the United States and Iran during his visit to the University of Pennsylvania.

Sayah is a freelance journalist based in Tehran, who has reported for Al Jazeera, CNN, and PBS NewsHour. Throughout his career, he has covered major events in the region and around the globe including the Arab Spring, the Cairo Square riots, and the 2012 flood in Pakistan.

The University of Pennsylvania is a Pulitzer Center Campus Consortium partner through several academic programs including its Middle East Center, South Asia Center, Penn in Latin America and the Caribbean Initiative and Penn Abroad.

As part of the evening event, Ann Peters, director of University and Community Outreach for the Pulitzer Center, leads an information session about the Campus Consortium international reporting fellowship opportunities.
