Pulitzer Center Executive Director Jon Sawyer visits the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee on Tuesday, February 24, for a Fireside Forum titled "Bringing the Story Home: The Economics of International News".

Sawyer is joined by Martin Kaiser, editor of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, for this exploration into the shifting landscape of world news.

The Fireside Forum is presented through the University's Center for International Education, Institute of World Affairs. The University summarizes this Fireside Forum by saying:

"The high cost of covering world news has made the foreign correspondent an endangered species. Most US news organizations have backed off of international coverage, fundamentally changing how we learn about our world. What’s driving these changes, and where do we go for the stories that originate beyond our shores?"
