Tuberculosis can be cured, yet underfunded health systems, overcrowding and social stigma contribute to a growing infection rate in the developing world. Learn about this public health crisis as photojournalist David Rochkind and Heller student Ecaterina Damian share their insights.

Pulitzer Center grantee David Rochkind documents the human face of crisis and conflict. His diverse portfolio ranges from an exploration of the drug wars in Mexico to the daily struggles of those living with tuberculosis. He has won numerous awards for his photo essays on issues relevant to social justice, human rights and health.

This event is sponsored by the Tuberculosis, AIDS and Malaria Study Group and the Institute for Global Health and Development at Brandeis University.
