Louie Palu Lecture: A Visual Dialogue of Conflict

Pulitzer Center grantee Louie Palu will lecture at the Corcoran on August 28 about his experience as a war and conflict photographer. Louie has produced award-winning work during his time in Afghanistan from 2006-2010. Aside from his work in India, Mali, Libya, and Pakistan, Louie reported for the Pulitzer Center from Mexico about border violence and immigration policy. Louie's work of war photography from Afghanistan will be featured as a part of the War/Photography: Images of Armed Conflict and Its Aftermath exhibit as well, which will be showing from June 29 to September 29.

The Corcoran is a museum of historic and modern art and a college for art and design. The Corcoran is "dedicated to art" and works to make their collections available to all communities.

There will be an exhibition viewing after the lecture.
