On Monday, April 8, 2019, Nigerian journalist Bukola Adebayo visits Guttman Community College in New York to share her Pulitzer Center-supported reporting from coastal communities, examining the impact of sand dredging along the southwest Nigerian coast. A special Pulitzer Center grant supported the reporting covering these property rights issues.

At Guttman, Adebayo will engage with students and faculty in Composition and Environmental Ethics courses. Pulitzer Center Contributing Editor Kem Sawyer joins Adebayo for the visit.

Later in the week, Adebayo shares a behind-the-scenes look at global reporting with K-12 students in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. region.

Guttman Community College is a Pulitzer Center Campus Consortium partner.
