Author Scott Anderson and multimedia journalist Ben Solomon visit Campus Consortium partner LaGuardia Community College on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, to discuss their reporting for the 2016 landmark issue of The New York Times Magazine tracing the lives of individuals across the Middle East who lived through autocratic rule, the turmoil of the Arab Spring and the rise of ISIS and more.

The months of reporting across the Middle East culminated with Anderson's 42,000-word story, the searing black-and-white photography of Paulo Pellegrin and links online to Solomon's virtual reality video on the retaking of Fallujah. The New York Times Magazine devoted the entire August 14, 2016, issue to their reporting.
