Sebastian Meyer: On Documenting the Lives of Kurdish People in Iraq

Pulitzer Center grantee photojournalist Sebastian Meyer visits Davidson College with a focus on his reporting project, "From 'the Other Iraq' to Kurdistan," which focuses on the challenges Kurdish people face living in Iraq, and what stands in the way of the social and political movements that work to uplift them. 

His work has been published in TIME Magazine, The New York TimesThe Sunday Times MagazineThe Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post, among other outlets.

Meyer's main talk is set for Thursday, February 27, 2020. He also expects to speak with Davidson classes and participate in more informal sessions with students and facullty during his time on campus. Ann Peters, Pulitzer Center university and community outreach director, joins Meyer at Davidson, a Campus Consortium partner.

In conjunction with the visit, Davidson plans to display Meyer's work in the Spencer Lobby of Chambers from February 6 through March 16, 2020.
