On Thursday, November 29, 2018, join Pulitzer Center-supported journalists Sol Lauría and Guido Bilbao as they present their reporting to students and faculty at Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

As part of their project, Lauría and Bilbao examine a web of illegal companies, land speculation, natural resource extraction, tourism developments, and more—all taking place on land indigenous people and peasants have inhabited for centuries without formal title deeds. Using data visualization and mapping technologies, Lauría and Bilbao tell the stories of indigenous rights in Panama.

Their presentation is part of a two-day visit to Forsyth Tech, a Campus Consortium partner. Before and after Forsyth Tech, the pair visit other schools in North Carolina to discuss their reporting and their careers. Pulitzer Center senior producer Steve Sapienza joins Lauría and Bilbao for these conversations.
