Why Global Health Matters: Panel Discussion Featuring David Rochkind

As part of the exhibition Global Health in Focus, Pulitzer Center-supported photojournalist David Rochkind will join a panel discussion "Why Global Health Matters" on March 7 to talk about the tuberculosis epidemic. A reception follows. Attendees will receive a complimentary copy of the 32-page exhibition catalog that features images from the exhibition with descriptions by the photographers.

Rochkind has spent the past three years documenting the epidemic in Moldova, India and South Africa. He has created an interactive educational website featuring his photographs, his multimedia work on TB, and a curriculum for use in high school classrooms.

The "Global Health in Focus" exhibition is hosted by the Photographic Resource Center (PRC) at Boston University as part of the PRC's Global Health Project, focusing on three of the most significant health challenges facing the world today: HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and access to clean water. The project aims to educate the public through documentary photography, helping people to better understand the problems and possible solutions.
