Abby Zimmardi

Abby Zimmardi is a senior undergraduate student at the University of Arkansas pursuing a journalism degree with a minor in anthropology. She has long had an interest in writing and has used her passion to pursue a career in journalism. Zimmardi gained reporting experience through the University of Arkansas’s Digital Media Lab, where she covered environmental issues and student debt disparities. After serving as a news reporter since 2018 with the Arkansas Traveler, Zimmardi will work as the multimedia editor for the 2020 school year. 

Interested in traveling, Zimmardi attended a photojournalism study abroad program in Bolivia in 2019 to document and understand a culture different from her own. She intends to pursue related work after attaining a master’s degree in journalism at the University of Arkansas.
