April Reese

April Reese is a freelance science and environment journalist based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her work on the borderlands, water, wildlife, wildfire, public lands, climate change, energy and other topics has appeared in Scientific American, Discover, Science magazine, Nature, Smithsonian.com, TheAtlantic.com, High Country News and many other publications. She’s a former staff editor at Discover and Cosmos magazine in Australia, and holds a master’s degree in Environmental Studies from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.
