Arnest Tumwesige has been a reporter with Vision group since 2012. He attended Kyambogo University and obtained a diploma in secondary education in 2006, a profession he practiced until 2010. He has attended several media trainings including; UN training on Human Rights and Internet Policy, climate change by Uganda Science Journalist Association (USJA), data journalism and local government by African Center for Media Excellence (ACME), and other in-house trainings on election reporting. Tumwesige is currently the secretary of Northern Uganda Science Journalists Network, after he was voted to the position in April 2017.

Tumwesige's reporting covers issues that affect people in all spheres of life. Amongst his achievements is an article he wrote in New Vision about incomplete construction on a primary school in Gulu district. After the article was published in July 2015, the NGO that had abandoned the work went back and completed the construction. Away from work, in his free time, he likes watching detective movies and football, travelling, and reading. He is a resident of Layibi-Bardege division, Gulu City, in Northern Uganda.
