Carly Berlin

Carly Berlin is the Gulf Coast correspondent for Southerly. She began reporting on Hurricane Laura's aftermath the day after the storm hit, interviewing evacuees who had fled to New Orleans, where she lives. Her work has appeared in the Oxford American, The Bitter Southerner, and Scalawag magazine. She is a native of Atlanta and an alum of Bowdoin College, where she studied creative writing.
