Jacob Russell

Jacob Russell (1984) is a photographer, video journalist and writer based in the Middle East. He began his career in the UK covering breaking news for national titles before moving to Iraqi Kurdistan to work as a photographer and picture editor. Since then he has covered stories as diverse as the music of Kazakh nomads in Mongolia to the rise of IS in Iraq. His work has appeared in major European and American publications in all formats.
