Javier Silas Omagor

Javier Silas Omagor is a Ugandan journalist based in the eastern part of the country. He is attached to Uganda’s leading newspaper The New Vision and serves as a sub news editor/reporter at Mbale city’s Step FM/TV.

He has eight years of experience in the field and has won several national and international career awards and scholarships. As a writer and broadcaster, his interests include science reporting, climate, water, business, democracy, and minority rights journalism. He believes that journalism can help combat destructive environmental human behaviors.
