Jenna Kunze is a lead reporter at a small-town newspaper in Southeast Alaska, named by Alaska Press Club as the best weekly in the state. Since moving north in 2018, climate change has inadvertently become her beat. She’s reported on the warmest summer on record, a pollen apocalypse set off by above-average spring temperatures, and how the Southeast is likely to see more fires as a result of hot, dry summers.

Kunze, originally from the east coast, previously reported from eastern Nepal, where she lived in an all-male drug rehabilitation center researching substance abuse.
