Kate Seche

Kate Seche joined the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting in September 2010. Since graduating from The College of William and Mary with a B.A. in History and Elementary Education in 1999, Kate has spent her career working in public education.  She began her career as an elementary classroom teacher, and later curriculum specialist in the Washington D.C.-area. Most recently, she spent time as a school principal on the southside of Chicago. Kate has a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Virginia, and a master's degree in school leadership from George Mason University. Her studies and career have focused on serving high-need, and traditionally underserved students: minority students, children of immigrants, and children living in poverty.
