Katie Kennedy

Katie Kennedy, a junior at the College of William & Mary during the 2012-2013 Sharp seminar, is majoring in an interdisciplinary Media Studies program. She designed this major as she plans to pursue a career in an area of media following graduation. Katie is an active member of the women’s fraternity Kappa Kappa Gamma. She has also held leadership positions in other collegiate activities, such as Orientation Facilitator, and has served in various campus-based philanthropic initiatives as well as participating on the inter-collegiate sailing team.

Photography is an ongoing passion of Katie's, and her photographs have been published in Washington Life Magazine and Middleburg Life, and she received honorable mention in a contest for Photographer’s Forum magazine. Katie was also selected to intern at a nationally recognized art gallery. Katie remains active in the National Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Children’s National Medical Center, and has participated in fundraisers and promotional events.
