Katie Surma is currently a Roy W. Howard Fellow at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Katie is also an attorney at the law firm Eckert Seamans where she has practiced in the firm’s litigation division for nine years. Katie specializes in rule of law, governance, and democracy issue areas.
Katie was a History of Art and Architecture major at the University of Pittsburgh where she played Division I soccer. She earned her J.D. from Duquesne University, graduating cum laude, and her LLM in Rule of Law and Governance from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. Katie lives in Scottsdale, Arizona, with her husband.
