Laura Butterbrodt

Laura Butterbrodt is a journalist with a passion for exploring the world. She graduated from South Dakota State University in 2019. After spending a semester abroad in Bulgaria and traveling Europe, her passion for international journalism blossomed. She is a member of Kappa Tau Alpha National Honor Society. She was a 2018 student fellow for the Bakala Foundation's Journey: Journalism Boot Camp in Prague, Czech Republic. She currently works at the Watertown Public Opinion in Watertown, South Dakota. She enjoys editorial reporting, especially feature stories and human interest pieces. In her free time, Laura loves music, traveling and spending time outside, especially at her lake cabin in South Dakota.
