M. G. Zimeta is an Ethiopian philosopher and writer based in Britain. Her work explores the ethical implications of scientific innovation, social frictions and contradictions, and existential questions about the human condition. Her reporting to date includes neo-Nazi militia in Ukraine, democracy in sub-Saharan Africa, chemical weapons in history, and the social model of disability. Her writing has appeared in The Paris Review, The Atlantic, Prospect, and the London Review of Books, among others; and she has broadcast with BBC World Service, BBC Radio 4, and BBC Radio 3.

She studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Somerville College, Oxford, and was awarded an MPhil in Philosophy from King's College, Cambridge, and a PhD in Philosophy from University of York, UK.
