Malcolm Brabant is a veteran foreign correspondent with experience reporting from over 80 countries.  He was a BBC correspondent from 1989 to 2015 and has since worked as a PBS special correspondent covering European affairs.  Brabant is a pioneer of "one-man-band" television journalism and was self-taught to shoot and edit in 1996 as soon as the first digital cameras appeared on the market. His awards include winning the 1993 Sony Radio Reporter of the Year recognition for his coverage of the siege of Sarajevo, a 1995 Amnesty International Radio Prize for his work in Chechnya, and a 2015 Peabody Award for his reporting on the European refugee crisis for PBS NewsHour.
