Marcio Pimenta

Marcio Pimenta is a freelance photographer and journalist based in the South of Brazil. His work was featured in National Geographic, Rolling Stone, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal and El País. He has received numerous awards for his environmental reporting. In 2016 and 2017 he was in Iraq to cover the war against the Islamic State and the rebirth of the Yazidi women. In 2018 he visited Antarctica for the first time and since then has been documenting the relationship of the society of the Americas with climate, geography and its traditions and economic culture, which will undergo transformations from climate change before they can adapt. www.marciopimenta.com
