Martha Bayne

Martha Bayne is a Chicago-based freelance journalist. Her work has been published in Buzzfeed, The Baffler, Belt Magazine, The Chicago Reporter, The Chicago Reader, Eater, and Puerto Rico's Centro de Periodismo Investigativo, among other regional and national outlets. She is also an associate editor with the Medill School of Journalism's Social Justice News Nexus program, and a senior editor with the Cleveland-based independent press Belt Publishing, for which she has edited several anthologies of nonfiction writing about Chicago and the Midwest.
