Maurício Angelo

Maurício Angelo is the founder of The Mining Observatory (observatoriodamineracao.com.br), the only site of investigative journalism focused on the mining sector. He is also a freelancer journalist specialized in Amazon, Cerrado, indigenous people, human rights and climate crisis who publish in many media outlets in Brazil and around the world. He is the winner of the Excellence in Journalism Award (2019) by Inter American Press Association and a finalist of V Petrobras Journalism Award (2018).
