Noreen Nasir is a video journalist with the Associated Press Race and Ethnicity team and is based in Chicago. Her reporting focuses on stories about racial disparities and injustice in the U.S. Most recently, she covered the initial wave of protests and the aftermath of unrest in Minneapolis after the killing of George Floyd. She's covered a range of breaking news, planned events, and enterprise stories, from the Iowa caucuses to the lingering effects of a massacre of Black people in the Arkansas Delta 100 years ago. In 2017, she reported on health care disparities in Karachi, Pakistan, as part of an AP/PBS NewsHour partnership. She joined the AP in 2015 in Washington, D.C.
