Oren Rudavsky

Oren Rudavsky is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, two National Endowment for the Arts filmmaker awards, two National Endowment for the Humanities grants, several New York State Council for the Arts awards, and many other awards and commendations. His film "A Life Apart: Hasidism in America" was short-listed for the Academy Awards and his film "Hiding and Seeking" was nominated for an Independent Spirit award.

Oren recently completed the National Endowment for the Humanities funded film "Colliding Dreams," a feature length documentary about the history and philosophy behind the Jewish return to Palestine and the current controversies surrounding Israel and the occupied territories. It is being released theatrically in 2016. He is also producing the NEA funded film "The Ruins of Lifta."

Oren was the producer of media for the permanent installations at the Russian Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center in Moscow which opened in 2013. Those 30 films encompass 100 years of Russian Jewish history through 25 biographies of significant Russian Jews, and five multi-screen installation films covering significant events in Russian history.

He also produced the PBS series "Time for School" which is a longitudinal profile of seven children from around the world. The series will culminate in the fall of 2016.
