Swat: A Success Story

Mingora, Swat, in the north of Pakistan was once one of the most dangerous places on Earth. Ruled by the Taliban from 2007-2009, the residents of this town lived in fear and uncertainty. The Taliban regime had banned music, technology, polio vaccinations and female education. Mingora resident Malala Yousafzai was shot for trying to attend school.

Now, the Swat Valley is a success story of positive change.
