The New York Times op ed "A War We Just Might Win" (July 30, 2007) by Brookings Institution scholars Kenneth Pollack and Michael O'Hanlon has occasioned much comment, most of it sparked by the chutzpah of two noted champions of the war describing themselves as "two analysts who have harshly criticized the Bush administration's miserable handling of Iraq."

Maybe so, but then we started the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting at a low point of media interest in global reporting -- and you only have to click through the Center's site for proof that great reporting is still being done, and finding outlets.

The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting seeks an intern for the spring semester, preferably starting January 3, 2008. We are especially interested in web-savvy applicants eager to get the word out about our international reporting projects. The internship pays $1,000 per month.
