The inclusion of drums, pipes, tobacco, song, and ceremonial dress in Catholic rites, as well as the increasing popularity of the Sweat Lodge and Sun Dance ceremonies, have greatly impacted the way youth construct views on religion and religious identity.
The Faith Family Retreat is an annual fall festival where community members join in celebration of family, children, life-givers (women), elders, and ancestors. The elaborate campsites reflect different family dynasties that connect to the historic community and maintain legacy and heritage through faith, song, and storytelling.
