Nieman Reports Highlights Pulitzer Center's "Toxic Europe" Project

Dimiter Kenarov and Nadia Shira Cohen's Pulitzer Center project "Toxic Europe" is highlighted on the Nieman Reports home page.

The reporting explores the impact of the metal-laden toxic sludge that swept through a town in western Hungary last October. They also look at a plan to open Europe's largest open-pit gold mine in Romania--illuminating the "darker side" of Europe's environmental policies.
