The Pulitzer Center has been hard at work to make coronavirus reporting grants, education resources, and webinars with our journalist grantees available during these unprecedented times. We’ve also been closely monitoring the COVID-19 health crisis, along with national and local responses, to determine the safest course of action for our annual conference, this year on the theme of Justice and scheduled for June in Washington, DC.
Due to public health concerns around gathering large groups of people in a conference setting, as well as the uncertain nature of travel, we regret to announce that we must postpone the Justice conference.
This is an event that cannot be replicated online— the opportunities to learn about systems of justice, and to make meaningful connections with journalists, news media makers, experts, and organizers, are ones we want to happen in person. When we are certain that gathering together is viable and safe, we will send a save the date for the rescheduled conference. We’re looking forward to seeing you in person when the time is right!
