On May 6, 2020, the Peabody Awards Board of Jurors announced the selection of 60 award nominees that represent the most compelling and empowering stories released in broadcasting and digital media during 2019. Out of nearly 1,300 entries across all eligible mediums, Threshold's Pulitzer Center-supported project, "The Regufe," was selected as a nominee in the Podcast/Radio category by the unanimous vote of 19 jurors.

“The Refuge” is a five-part series by Amy Martin and Nick Mott that examines the battle for the future of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, opening up into a superb account of environmental activism, Alaskan Native rights, and the politics of oil and gas exploration.

The 2020 Peabody Awards celebrates the best storytelling across broadcasting and digital media. For a full list of nominees, visit Peabody's website.
