Pulitzer Center journalist Bill Wheeler, Executive Director Jon Sawyer, Special Projects Coordinator Peter Sawyer and Education Coordinator Maura Youngman to attend the annual Bonner Summer Leadership Institute in Berea, Kentucky.
Over the course of the three-day conference, Pulitzer Center staff and journalist Bill Wheeler will present film screenings and workshops. Pulitzer Center Executive Director Jon Sawyer will deliver the keynote address to the college presidents in attendance. The institute is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
The Pulitzer Center is a national partner of the Bonner Foundation, providing resources and engagement opportunities for students and faculty to enhance their personal, leadership and professional development skills and expand their knowledge of international issues and perspectives.
The Bonner Foundation works with some 80 colleges and universities across the United States through its BonnerScholars and BonnerLeaders Programs. The Pulitzer Center is a national partner of the Bonner Foundation, providing resources and engagement opportunities for students and faculty to enhance their personal, leadership and professional development skills and expand their knowledge of international issues and perspectives. Through the Campus Liaison program and GlobalGateway initiative, the Pulitzer Center offers Bonner Scholars and Leaders opportunities to pair their community service programs with an engaging global awareness component. The Pulitzer Center also offers a Bonner Internship in its Washington, D.C. office.
