Pulitzer Center grantee Melanie Saltzman brings "The Future of Food" to Campus Consortium partner Forsyth Technical Community College for a two-day visit Wednesday, October 23 and Thursday, October 24, 2019.

The main event on campus is a community-wide lecture on Thursday by Saltzman where she will dig into her Pulitzer Center-supported series for PBS NewsHour Weekend that provided a global exploration of how science, climate change, and technology can affect food security and sustainability. A reception will immediately follow the lecture.

While on campus, Saltzman also will speak to Forsyth Tech students and faculty about her experiences as a multimedia journalist reporting from Africa to Asia on issues from public health to international affairs.

Ann Peters, Pulitzer Center university and community outreach director, joins Saltzman for the visit, exploring with the Forsyth Tech community the work of the Pulitzer Center and reporting opportunities available to students.
