Pulitzer Center grantee Mark Johnson visits Campus Consortium partner University of Iowa on Thursday, March 29 and Friday, March 30, 2018, to explore his reporting on the environment, climate change and infectious diseases.  

On Thursday, Johnson speaks with School of Journalism and Mass Communication faculty and students during several classes about his work published in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal.  On Friday, he addresses attendees at the Great Plains Emerging Infectious Diseases Conference about his reporting including examples of his coverage of zoonotic diseases. 

Kayla Sharpe, Campus Consortium coordinator, joins Johnson on his two-day visit and speaks with faculty members of the College of Public Health about how to facilitate more effective conversations between journalists and public health professionals.
