Don't Forget Me follows three families with children on the autism spectrum whose parents struggle to educate them in Morocco, a country where children with disabilities lack the right to go to school. The Pulitzer Center-supported documentary was inspired by Jackie Spinner's two autistic, Moroccan-born sons.

Spinner is an associate professor of journalism at Columbia College Chicago and a correspondent for Columbia Journalism Review. With extensive experience living in and reporting on the Middle East and North Africa, she returned to Morocco with her sons in 2017 to make this film.

The U.S. premiere of Don't Forget Me is on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 4:00pm at the Film Row Cinema in Chicago, IL. The event will feature special guest Marilyn Diamond, the honorary consul general to Morocco in Chicago. Discussion will follow with Moroccan-American autism advocate Zoubida Pasha.

Free admission with Columbia College Chicago ID. Tickets are $5 at the door with reservation and are cash only. Space is limited—reserve your seat today.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Color of Autism Foundation, an organization committed to educating and assisting African American families with Autistic children.
